We are currently building a long term missionary team at our Yei base.

If you are interested in considering long term service (over 2 months), due the the unique setting we are in, there is a process we follow for everyone's safety and benefit. Please make no plans to come long term until you have received an official letter of invitation stating such from our Field Ministry Coordinator.

We need all kinds of help, especially with practical areas of administration, finance, construction oversight, child care, business, community development and education. All missionaries will be expected to serve practically in an area, not just in outreach and church planting. We are pioneering which means ALL hands on deck!

If you are interested in considering serving with us long term, this is the general procedure:

1. Download and read our 2008 Guide
2. Email Michele and let her know of your interest.
3. Fill out the follwing forms and a file will be started for you:
   • Extended Short Term Application
   • Long Term Addendum
   • Pastoral, Professional and Peer References
   • Liability Waiver-proof of travel insurance
4. Plan a field visit of not more than 2 weeks, this can be on your way to or from Iris Harvest School.
5. Attend and graduate Iris Harvest School of Missions in Pemba Mozambique.
6. Complete your interview by the Iris Long Term Placement Committee in Pemba.
7. Recieve your letter of invitation for long term service and make plans to move to Sudan.

Due to the stressful environment, there will be reviews at the 3 month mark and the 6 month mark, with a revolving door on either side. This is for everyone's peace of mind. Once the six month review is complete, you may be invited to sign on for a term up to 2 years, or as agreed upon at that time.

We are looking for seasoned, mature followers of Jesus. We celebrate gifting and embrace passion, but are looking for stability and character to carry the call successfully out of the place of humilty and intimacy with our King in an environment that will challenge you to your core at times.

All individuals interested in pioneering in other parts of Sudan with Iris Ministries, must, at this time, first serve for a season with us at headquarters and let us get to know you... then we can explore the right timing to send and release you into the areas God has put on your heart. This is to foster a united team dynamic and integrated national strategy, especially between our indigenous leaders and our missionaries.
