Because of our situation as a pioneering location and the potentially extreme conditions our visitors may experience here, our application process is a little more indepth than many Iris locations.

Please be patient with us as we have developed this based on past experiences in the best interest of both our visitors and our Sudanese family. Thank you so much for understanding.

Before new applicants or teams will be considered, they must complete the entire application process. The application process includes completing the following:

FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS, STAYING UP TO 2 WEEKS:

• Basic Short Term Application
• Pastoral Reference
• Liability Waiver-proof of travel insurance (to be emailed and then a signed printed copy brought with you)

FOR TEAMS STAYING UP TO 2 WEEKS:

• Team Leader: Extended Short Term Application; Pastoral Reference; Team Leader’s Addendum; Liability Waiver-proof of travel insurance (to be emailed and then a signed printed copy brought with you)
• Team Members: Basic Short Term Application, Liability Waiver-proof of travel insurance (to be emailed and then a signed printed copy brought with you)

FOR RETURNING VISITORS STAYING UP TO 2 MONTHS:

• Extended Short Term Application
• Pastoral, Professional and Peer References
• Liability Waiver-proof of travel insurance (to be emailed and then a signed printed copy brought with you)

FOR INDIVIDUALS CONSIDERING LONG TERM SERVICE:

• Extended Short Term Application
• Long Term Addendum
• Pastoral, Professional and Peer References
• Field Visit
• Iris Harvest School of Missions (attend and complete)
• Review & interview by the Iris Long Term Placement Committee
• Liability Waiver-proof of travel insurance (to be emailed and then a signed printed copy brought with you)

Acceptance of individuals and teams will be based on prayer and in some cases based on the skills and services needed at the time. Certain exceptions may be need in the case of critically needed personnel.

Applicants must be at least 18 or accompanied by a legal guardian.

You will be notified as soon as a decision has been made. Please make no plans to visit until you have received an acceptance letter from us stating the nature and duration of your visit.

All trips may be cancelled at any time in case of unrest.
