MATCHING EXTENSION!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been granted an additional extension on our matching grant to December 31, 2008! This is answered prayer! We are so blessed to have you be a part of what God is doing!

MIRACLE OF LOVE Feb 25, 2008

Beloved, It has taken us a little longer than expected to get things organized on this end for regular updates because our sporadic internet access.  We have not had access in almost 2 weeks.  Things are now a bit improved. 

And we are now ready!  Our time for taking full advantage of the matching funds available to us is growing short.  We have started with a good response, but really need to build momentum in these next 2.5 weeks.  We are forging ahead building bricks and are firing our first bricks tonight!  This is an exciting milestone. Please see our latest figures and photos below. Our guys have been working really hard! 

We have raised almost 10% of our needed amounts so far in pledges.  Many more have expressed interest in participating, but are still sending in their pledges.  We are trusting Jesus for a miracle of provision as the time is growing close.  In anticipation of their new homes, I came home to find our children building a little village of their own.  They are so excited and pray every day for God to send people to help us meet our goals. Theytold me this little village was going to be like our new home: a place where Jesus is our Chief and Elder and His Kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven.   

Please keep praying about joining our miracle in the making but all we are asking is that you simply do what you feel God is leading you to do.  No more, no less.  If everyone does what they hear from Him, He will provide all we need.  I am confident of that.  I just wanted to provide a little more tangible and personal follow up to our initial email.  And of course, PLEASE pray for God’s supernatural provision for us in this time.  Thank you for loving us and standing with us for God’s glory in Sudan

Welcome to the Journey of the Life of our Bricks!

After the right kind of mud is dug, they are layed by our local workers...

Then they are stacked by skilled brick makers with holes at the bottom for fire wood for firing. Once the mound is made, it is covered with mud and the firing begins... In this bush kiln, for the bricks to be properly fired can take 2 days of constant heat.

Mama Eudita and Tito stand in the doorway of the first structure on our land... a building built for storage of our construction supplies, made of underburned bricks and cemented walls-- still it should last us about 20 years!
